Dr. Mena Farazi (she/her)

Mena is a registered nutritionist with Nutrition Society of Australia and a researcher with a strong background in nutrition and metabolic health. She holds a PhD in Nutrition Biochemistry and Cell Biology from Monash University, where her research focused on the impact of dietary bioactive compounds on carbohydrate digestion, absorption, and glucose metabolism.

Mena has achieved certification in Eating Disorder consultation, further enhancing her expertise in the field. She is passionate about supporting young people and their families to build positive, balanced, and sustainable relationships with food. She believes nutrition plays an integral role in mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing, and works closely with children, adolescents, and caregivers to create individualised nutrition strategies that support overall health.

With a warm, compassionate, and evidence-informed approach, Mena empowers young people to develop healthy eating habits, improve their energy levels, and support mood regulation through nutrition. She works collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary care team to ensure holistic support for each child or adolescent.

Mena’s approach is client-centred, gentle, and developmentally sensitive. She understands that food and emotions are deeply connected, particularly for young people navigating challenges such as anxiety, stress, low mood, or changes in appetite.
