Fees
At Wonderful Mind, our fees vary depending on the specific service and practitioner you choose. We strive to provide transparent pricing to ensure you understand the costs associated with your care.
Cancellation Policy
In order to commit to ongoing roster booking, Wonderful Mind requires 48 hours notice to reschedule or cancel a session without occurring any fees. This also allows the practice to offer the allocated time to another client who may be on a cancellation or waiting list for an appointment. In the event that less that 48 hours notice is given to cancel an appointment or a scheduled appointment is not attended, the consultation fee may be charged in full unless there are extenuating circumstances. Please note that Medicare does not cover cancelled appointments.
A no show or a late cancelled appointment is a loss for :

The client/child as their therapy progress is impacted

Other clients who are in waiting list to initial their intervention or assessment process

The clinician who prepared and resaved their time for the session
NDIS
Wonderful Mind is a NDIA registered provider and can support NDIS participants with all types of plan managements
Medicare
The Medicare rebate is exclusively for consultation with Clinical psychologists ($141.85 of the total cost - typical gap = $178.15) and registered psychologists $96.65 out of total cost - typical gap = 126.28).
In order to receive a rebate for the majority of your session fees through Medicare, you must have a valid referral (called a Mental Health Care Plan) from a GP, psychiatrist or a paediatrician. When you visit your doctor you will need to have our name, address, and fax number on hand so your doctor can make out the referral.
Under the Medicare Better Access program, Medicare card holders with a Mental Health Care Plan are entitled to a rebate of part of the fee for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
Additionally, we are proud to cover TAC and WorkCover, making our services accessible for those in need. Please note that fees are per session and the structure of the session vary depending on the service and requirements.

Please note your initial parental consultation will be billed as a 1.5 hour session.

Report writing
The time required can vary from 2 to 4 hours, depending on the extent of information needed for reporting and the cost on the clinician's rate.
Assessments we offer:

Psychological assessments generally require around 10 hours, though this can vary based on the individual needs of each case, the information gathered, and how the child or client responds to the assessment process.
Here's what the assessment involves:

Psychologist (4 hours): This includes the initial consultation, an observation session, and two separate consultation and feedback sessions. Medicare rebates are available for these sessions (currently $96.65)

Provisional Psychologist (6 hours): This time includes a combination of direct and indirect contact with the client.
For clients under 25 years old with complex neurological conditions like Autism Spectrum Disorder, a Medicare rebate of $96.99 is available for assessment and report writing, as well as assessments and interventions. To utilize these Medicare rebates, we'll need a valid mental health treatment plan and a referral from your GP.
Important Note: The estimated assessment hours are subject to change based on the complexity of the case and individual needs.
