Lydia is a passionate Music Therapist, Mentor, and Lived Experience Consultant, known for her sensitive, inclusive, and affirming approach to her work. With lived experience and a deep understanding of early development and neurodivergent profiles, Lydia brings a unique perspective, creating a compassionate and empowering environment for her clients. She excels in helping individuals harness the therapeutic power of music to enhance emotional expression, communication, and overall well-being.

Lydia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Victoria University and a Master’s degree in Music Therapy from The University of Melbourne. This combination of academic expertise and lived experience enables her to work effectively with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, providing a safe and supportive space for growth and self-expression. Whether easing stress, enhancing emotional communication, or improving motor skills, Lydia tailors each music therapy session to meet the unique needs of her clients.

​​Lydia’s neurodiversity-affirming, client-centered approach is highly regarded. She works collaboratively with clients and their supporters to create meaningful and effective therapeutic experiences. Deeply committed to inclusivity and accessibility, Lydia strives to provide a safe environment for growth through music, using it as a powerful tool for connection. Her own lived experience with neurodivergence informs her practice, ensuring that her work is both empathetic and empowering.

In addition to her music therapy work, Lydia has extensive experience within the Autistic and neurodivergent communities. She has mentored young neurodivergent individuals, providing guidance and support, and has volunteered at weekend camps designed to empower Autistic youth. As a Lived Experience Consultant, Lydia ensures that neurodivergent voices are expressed, heard, and valued in various therapeutic and community settings. Her commitment to supporting and uplifting neurodivergent individuals in all aspects of their lives is at the heart of her work.
