Lisa McBain (she/her)

Lisa is a Provisional Psychologist completing her Master of Clinical Psychology at Victoria University. She is passionate about supporting both neurodivergent and neurotypical clients across the lifespan, with a focus on fostering wellbeing, resilience, and self-understanding through collaborative, evidence-based practice. Empowering children to grow; personally, socially, and emotionally; is at the heart of her work.

Drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic approaches, Lisa integrates these with principles of positive psychology to help clients build confidence, self-compassion, and emotional regulation.

Lisa brings a unique depth of life and professional experience to her clinical work, having spent many years in leadership, mentoring, and organisational wellbeing roles. This background enriches her understanding of human behaviour, communication, and growth within both individual and systemic contexts.

She has a strong interest in supporting clients through life transitions, identity development, and adjustment to change. Lisa also works with neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD and Autism, to promote self-advocacy and strengths-based coping.
