Mums of Children with Special Needs

We understands how hard it can be for a mother to take time for herself. But finding a support group, especially when you have a child with special needs, can be very rewarding. We belive using art can help get through challenges or adjustment periods. This group is run by registered art therapists and in a form of open studio, so it can foster mothers to discuss the challenges and joys of parenting a child with special needs while making art. This process is healing, expressive and safe. We stress that mums do not need to have an artistic background; andthey may prefer to spend some time thinking and listening to conversation and not to ingage in art making.

We make sure every session revolves around a specific theme that mothers can discuss and reflect through.

We welcome mums with neurotypical kids, as well as moms of kids with cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism, mood disorders and ADD/ADHD.
