Approach in therapy

Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us. While mindfulness is something we all naturally possess, it’s more readily available to us when we practice on a daily basis.

At  Wonderful Mind Angela facilitates therapy sessions and assist her clients to experience here and now state of Mind. This may involve a brief familiarisation session where Angela can understand your mood and needs for the session, followed by some movement tailored to your own requirements and then a meditation that often involves relaxing breath focus and body scan. At the conclusion of a session, clients frequently find themselves, in a state of calm and ease in mind and body, with increased self-awareness. Angela’s program is suitable and customised for adults and children. Angela also support her clients as a psycho social recovery coach and coordination of support.

She helps her clients to make the best use of their supports in plan and supports them in their pathway of recovery and building capacity for independent living. This includes:

  • Understanding and use of their NDIS plan

  • Design and implementation of strategies to achieve their recovery goals

  • Connecting with NDIS providers, community, mainstream and other government services

  • Building confidence and skills to use and coordinate their supports more independently
