Heather Tang (she/her)

Heather is a dedicated and compassionate registered music therapist who specializes in working with children, including those living with special needs. Her extensive clinical experience spans adult rehabilitation, children's hospitals, and special developmental schools, where she has made a significant impact through her therapeutic practice.

Heather holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of British Columbia and a Master's degree in Music Therapy from the University of Melbourne. She is also accredited in Neurologic Music Therapy, underscoring her commitment to the highest standards of professional practice.

 

Trained as a pianist for over 20 years, Heather brings a rich musical background to her practice. She skillfully incorporates a variety of instruments, including the guitar, piano, drums, and percussion, to tailor her sessions to her clients' specific needs and preferences.

 

Heather's passion for music therapy and her empathetic approach make her a trusted and beloved therapist among the children and families she works with, fostering an environment of healing and joy through the universal language of music.
