Cecile, an APPTA registered play therapist with a wealth of experience and a passion for helping children thrive. Cecile brings a unique blend of expertise to Wonderful Mind, combining her background as a Master qualified Early Childhood Teacher with over 15 years of experience working with children. She also holds a Master of Child Play Therapy from Deakin University.

Cecile is deeply committed to providing a nurturing environment where children feel safe to play, express themselves, and develop essential life skills. As a mother of two young children, she possesses a profound understanding of the challenges children face. Cecile approaches each child with genuine compassion and unwavering acceptance, fostering a space for healing and growth.

Cecile has extensive experience working with children facing a wide range of challenges, including:

  • Complex trauma (relational and developmental)

  • Neurodevelopmental disorders (ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder)

  • Learning disorders

  • Anxiety and attachment issues

Approach to therapy

Cecile offers a variety of therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs of each child, including:

  • TraumaPlay

  • Learn to Play

  • Child-Centered Play Therapy (non-directive)

  • Filial Therapy

In addition to individual therapy, Cecile collaborates with schools to provide TORA (Teacher Optimal Relationship Approach) and group play therapy sessions.
